The article makes a general statement , firstly , over the research on the verb-copying clause , and points out some existing problems . Secondly , it defines the verb-copying clause from a new view , based on some survey about the existing materials , and devides it into svovc , svo₁VO₂ and svc₁vc₂ three types . Many methods , including syntactic structure , semantics structure and transformation analysis , are applied to take a careful exploration to the three typical models . The article also brings up a new point that the verb-copying clause is a verb-copying-subject-predicate structure and a new concept named ambiguous vevb-copying clause.
