The time from "the Pre-Qin dynasty" to "the Qin dynasty and the Han dynasty" is an important period of transition in China. Then, the Qin Empire had existed for a short period. The Han Empire inherited the tradition "the Pre-Qin duration" and abandoned its drawbacks, so it is Han Empire that laid a foundation and perfected the rules and systems of a centralized feudal empire. At this time ,the Confucian intellectuals in the Western Han Empire inherited the intellectuals' tradition of the Pre-Qin period, most of them took an active part in political activities of the Western Han Empire. They wanted to stand out in public and achieve their ideals and goals by using what they had learned. They took an active part in political activities of the Western Han Empire and were eager to make progress in changing reality. At the same time ,they didn't forget to spread the Confucian culture. They actively chose official career and shouldered their responsibilities. They tried to inherit the Confucian ideals and values, varietied and revived Confucianism, advanced the thoughts of "Jing Xue" to become their common pursuits and value choice. Their common pursuits and value choice advanced the development of the politics and political culture of the Western Han Empire and made centralized state and the Confucian culture consolidated and prosperous in the middle period of the Western Han Empire. In the latter period of the Western Han Empire, the Confucian intellectuals in the Western Han Empire took part in the political activities by giving play to the thoughts of the "Jing Xue ". They formed the mode of "Jing Xue " thought and the ideology of "Jing Xue" by themselves. Facing the decline of the Western Han Empire, they made great efforts to rescue the government. At last, after their failure of doing this, the incurable society made their thoughts and values separate, they also departed and went different ways.
