This thesis includes four chapters:Chapter one: Psychology of design. Through the perspective of psychology,Studied the meaning of psychological knowledge applied in the designing field,and analysis of the psychology of design.Chapter two told about the phenomenal and psychological difference amongdifferent countries which lead to difference in their development and theory ofdesign; Analyzed the revolution and new theory of some industrial countries,and the very social opportunity that leads to them, since the beginning ofindustrial design development. Their value and theory of industrial design isseverely different. As a whole, the theory of industrial design illustrates thedevelopment of the industry and technology of a country. It also shows thetraditional custom of it. Some examples related to the development ofindustrial design in Europe, US and Japan are given here.Chapter three steps from products to the theory of design: analyzed someidea and method of some famous designer, touched their idea through theirproducts; They come from different companies, having different socialbackground, living in different countries, taking different philosophy,experienced different education. These factors all show their influence in theproducts of the designer.Chapter four summarized the opportunity of (conformational design) inChina.
