Security Studies In The Philippines After The Cold War

After the end of the cold war, with the change of the international situation, the security policies of Philippines have taken place corresponding changes. It mostly manifests in the change of comprehensive security concept which is composed of politics, society,economy, diplomacy, national defense. Its characteristics mostly are: the ascending of the importance of economic factors; the swelling of independence of security defense; the extension of security scope. Meanwhile Philippines' security countermeasure consists in itself problems and developing trend. It has great revelations to Chinese security countermeasure: we should accelerate to consummate and develop Chinese comprehensive security concept; we should initiatively take part in multilateral economic and security cooperation; we should make great efforts to boosting up Chinese comprehensive national power.
