In 1960's, Latin America magic realism grew up suddenly in the cosmopolitan literary world. One Hundred Years of Solitude, the well-known masterpiece of Garcia Marquez, wined the Nobel Prize in 1982. After that it quickly became the hotspot and had direct influence on Chinese Roots-seeking literature. At that time Many Roots-seeking authors wished to evaluate the nation again and rebound the conventionalism. This tendency corresponded to Latin America magic realism. Chinese authors began to use for reference from magic realism and gain many benefits.In this paper, the writer use a perspective of comparative literature and select some representative productions According as paper's truss. On the basis of clarifying qualification of influence, the writer try to analyze the similarities and discrepancies between magic realism and Roots-seeking literature. After drawing the conclusion, the paper make a farther discussion: why Latin America magic realism earned such world-wide fame while Roots-seeking literature failed to do so though striking resemblance was discovered and careful investigation, etc.
