Wei, Jin And Southern And Northern Dynasties Literati Re-understanding Of Self-awareness

The period of Wei-Jin-Northem-and-Southern Dynasties, lasting for over three hundred years, is a special term in Chinese history: the politics is tenebrous, tiie society is out of order, men's(scholar-bureaucrats) behavior is out of the traditional criterion; particular trend and traits of people's idea, lifestyle and taste come into being. This is an era of awakening of people, an era of consciousness of literature, at the same time an era of distortion of people's spirit. Behind the self-consciousness awakening and personality liberty , is the gloomy shadow arising. The article analyzes the literary activities and cultural fashion through several small-and-complete cases, in order to understand the spirit, psychology and self-consciousness again.The main content is divided into three parts. Part 1, illuminate that the original landscape in character is the mirror-image of men and puzzledom of ego through the analysis to the landscape consciousness in the Personality Appraisal and original Landscape Poem; Part 2, the particular "Court Poem" during the Southern Dynasties, which echoes remotely to the men's taste before, reflects the going stray of the consciousness and trend of narcissism of them: reduce the life into body, stay at the lay of carnal sense, reject the exploit of spirit and evade social reality and responsibilities; Part 3, with Tao Yuanming as an example, the last part tries to explore the possible way of self-reconstruction.
