We will meet such concept as lived experience when we read the work of Dilthey , and it is a very important concept in Dilthey ' philosophy .This thesis is to explicate the meaning of lived experience and the signification of lived experience in Dilthey ' philosophy .In the first section , I clarify something about experience , containing the following four facets : 1 . the history of livedexperience--the word of lived experience come from the word ofexperience .Biography can best embody substantivity and connotivity of the lived experience .at first , Dilthey called lived experience as indwelling experience ,late ,he only called the word as livedexperience . 2 . lived experience of experience--Dilthey was interestedin human with sense and consciousness .As a result , he emphasized on experience .But his experience was different from the experience of positivism and empiricism , and there was introspective course in his experience , and that was indwelling experience . 3 . the totality of livedexperience--the totality of lived experience come from the totalityof life . 4 . the flowing of lived experience in time--the time oflived experience was flowing .Pass present and future is a whole .The present was recalled by memory , and it did effect on future by connotivity. In the section , I relate the signification of lived experience in epistemology and methodology of human science .First , I clarify the concept of human science , and then, I relate the signification . Dilthey thought we could grasp the existence only by indwelling experience (lived experience ) , and then , we could resolve the question how human science gained available knowledge with catholicity and objectivity. In the third section , I relate the embodiment of lived experience in arts poems and religion . Dilthey think the question of poems is the question of life and the question of gaining value by experiencing life . Inditing is based on lived experience , and readers can communicate with poets by lived experience .
