The paper analyses the personal character of JIAN'ANQIZI's works, after giving the definition of "the literary self_consciousness". The paper thinks that JIAN'ANQIZI's great success in the individualized subject and in persuing literary technology symbolized "the self_consciousness of literature" in JIAN'AN period. The appearance and activity of YEXIA CIRCLE OF SCHOLARS provided a literary environment and condition for "the literary self_consciousness".During the social turbulence of the end of HAN DYNASTY, JIAN'ANQIZI were busy looking for a chance to realize their hopes and ambitious. They had strong and distinctive personalities. To a certain extent, they had human dignity too. So, Their works not only perfectly conveyed their thoughts and fellings, but also displayed their literary talent. They began to persue elegance of art. They created literary writings in different style.After JIAN'ANQIZI jioned CAOWEI plitical & military groap, SANCAO could take an equal attitude with them. They created free political surroundings for JIAN'ANQIZI. And they supply JIAN'ANQIZI with good living conditions. Because of SANCAO's promotion, It became the popular phenomenon to go after literature & art. Which made YEXIA CIRCLE OF SCHOLARS become the first one with literary factor, "the self_consciousness of literature" emerged and brought epochjnaking change in literary history. SANCAO led JIAN'ANQIZI to make the situation that combined collective exploration with individual achievement. They showed "the literary self consciousness" of JIAN'AN period from different levels.
