Read The Notes Of Creative Motivation Research

The Yuewei Cottage Notes, which was written by a Qing Dynasty scholar Ji Jun, is an influential ancient Chinese anthology. This thesis studied the Notes's creative motivation and investigated the cultural phenomenon about scholar writing sketch. From it ,we could bring to light the regularity of literary development.The thesis divided into six chapters: introduction; the first chapter; the second chapter; the third chapter; the fourth chapter and conclusion.The introduction looked bake nowadays' study and pointed out the weaknesses of it, considering that the past study concentrated on ideological review and artistic quality, literary value, foreign theory of literature and art research. There was little study about creative motivation and no comprehensive of it, so, my thesis was valuable.The first chapter described the four elementary features from the Yuewei Cottage Notes itself and the viewpoint of Ji Yun's novel theory. The features were: amusement, admonishment and instruction, flaunt, introducing classical Chinese novel tradition and trying to surpass it. All of these indicated the form and characteristic of the scholar writing sketch.The second chapter analyzed the literary form of note novel that had an effect on the creative motivation of the Yuewei Cottage Notes, showing that this was the literary causes.The third chapter analyzed the intellectuals' classical cultural psychology, which played an important role in the motivation. First, the motivation was originated from the tradition of writing in old age and writing for the ideal; second, the psychology of Confucianism and Taoist worked on the creation; third, the tasteful tradition of the intellectuals interesting in strange was another factor.The fourth chapter focused on the social backgrounds, namely wenziyu, qianjia style of study and quaint social fashion, considering that these were the social causes.The ending summarized literary, cultural and social basis of the phenomenon scholar writing sketch. Not only revealed the features and causes but also demonstrated the law.
