On Marx's Thought Of People's Overall Development

People had been pursuing the all-round-development of human for thousands of years, and they left a lot of important theories and conceptions, which provided precious information for us now. Due to the limit of time they , thinkers previous to Marx formed incomprehensive and abstract theories of the all-round-development theory, and they could not deal with the relationship between human and society properly, and could not grasp the social and historical conditions under which people could get all-round-development. Hence, they could not treat the liberation and development of individual and that of the masses. In a word, the conception of all-round-development was illusion for them. Marx inherited the excellent tradition of humanism and studied the development of human from the point of materialism. Putting human on the background of realistic history and society, Marx studied people's practice and social-historical development, then gave a realistic and scientific way to the way of human development. Marxists such as Mao Ze Dong, Deng Xiao Ping and Jiang Ze Min combined basic Marxism with Chinese reality, and made Marxism perfect.
