Study. Chinese On The Tang

In Tang Dynasty, articles of Tang Dynasty were begun to be noticed. Consequently, people's study on the articles written in Tang Dynasty represented the original studying condition of the prose in Tang Dynasty, who lived in this period.The study did not have a uniform style. It was scattered in several kinds of books. In this thesis, we derived materials from all kinds of original documents, such as: QuangTangSh. QuanTangWen. TangWenShiY. TangWenXuShi and various note novels, collecting poems, prose and notes written by persons of Tang Dynasty.Among these comments, some referred to a certain period or even several periods. In a historical view, they summarized the articles' development of that time, making an important clue for their descendants. Others concerned with a certain author and his works, either making comment on his one composition or making a generalization of all his works. The content ranged from the author's attitude and capacity of composing to the constitution of a specific composition etc.intheir discussion, people in Tang Dynasty paid attention to articles of the same time due to their appraising need. In their eyes, one's works is imperative to his morality and behavior; an excellent article should be conductive to the society and people's life, in the process of their appraisement, they used different ways of criticizing.
