In this article , named " THE Study of Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary "?we will study the background, development, edition pattern , critical function , explanation method and the theory value of "Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary".We mainly explore the study of "Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary'' from the book renewly published by Dongguan Pavilion in 1811 to "Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary" written by Wang Bo-hang in 1938 , all together 15 kinds. They are as followings: Xinzeng piping xiuxiang Hongloumeng, published by Dongguan Pavilion, The Stone Legend Comment in Miaofu Pavilion, written by Zhang Xin-zhi, Zengping buxiang quantu jinyuyuan, written by Wang Xi-lian, Jiaochuan damoushanren pingdian Hongloumeng, by Yao Xie, Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary in the Parasol Flower and Phoenix Pavilion, by Chen Qi-tai, Dream of the Red Chamber, by Wang Bo-hang, Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary, by Zhang Zi-xin ,and other books written by Huang Xiao-tian, Ha Si-bao, Diexiang xianshi, Yunluo-shanren, Huashi-zhuren, Yi Ming-shi, Liu Lv-fen, and so forth..The article is divided into 4 main parts naming the preface, the chapter 1, the chapter2 and the chapter 3.In the preface, we'll mainly give readers the current study of "Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary" and explain the value of this article, of course including the main questions we'll solve in it. The chapter 1 is made up of 6 sections. In this chapter, first we'll discuss a variety of views of commentary and the background of them. Second, we'll analyze the edition pattern, critical function, reading modal, annotation tactics. And last, the contribution will be discussed.The chapter 2 consists of 7 sections. We'll analyze the study of "Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary" of Wang Xi-lian, Zhang Xin-zhi, Yao Xie, Chen Qi-tai, Wang Bo-hang, Zhang Zi-liang from their life and ideal, commentary content and the value of the commentary in the first 6 sections. In the 7th section, we mainly discuss the viewpoints of Zhu Zhan, Ha Si-bao, Liu Lv-fen, Deixiang Xianshi, Yunluoshanren, Huashizhuren, Sun Song-pu and Yi Ming-shi. And last, we'll study "Dream of the Red Chamber Commentary" from the comparison between the history of "Dream of the Red Chamber commentary, the critical history of fiction and the history of literature.
