The study of vocality and the process of singing is the development and improvement of the integrity of the vocal skills, mental diathesis, artistic accomplishment and personal experiences. The study of vocal skills is very important but not exclusive. The key point lies in the tight combination of the cultivation and training of mental diathesis during the whole study process of vocal skills. The theory of vocality develops from purely technique skill study to physiological study and further psychological research, which is the only way of vocality theory study. As a kind of highly subjective artistic creation, vocality cannot be separated from the psychology. This dissertation analyzes the relationship between singing psychology and physiological control, then argues that the apperception, thinking and memory pave the way for the cultivation and training of the singers' mental diathesis, and furthermore discusses the mental diathesis singers have to possess such as concentration, imagination, feeling, temper and characteristic. For every singer, those basic factors constitute the favorable mental diathesis. Surely, those factors are only a small part of all the mental diathesis factors; however, they are of great importance. Vocality study, as a hard process, requires the learners' accumulation of skill study and experience. The favorable mental diathesis, by combing the vocal study and psychological research, can help learners keep studying interest and overcome the difficulties. It is the human being who plays the role during the process of learning and performing. It is also the human being who appreciates the vocal singing. Performers communicate with audiences through music. Therefore, psychological activities will necessarily go with the whole process from beginning to ending.
