| Today, human history enters 21st century, the economic center in a lot of countries in the world has already transferred to the city and stepped into the situation of the modernized road of the fast development, among nearly 13 hundred million Chinese peoples, 900 million, namely nearly 70% of the population is still held up in the countryside, this is very rare in modernized history in the world. According to the agricultural modernization drive standard in the world, China, as a large agricultural country, has only drove one third of the agricultural modernization process, which is equivalent to 40% of country's agricultural development level, the road to China's agricultural modernization is very arduous. The fundamental situation of China determined that agricultural modernization is the most important factor to realize national modernization. We can say that there is not modernization of agriculture, there is no modernization of our country. Therefore, I highlight the strong realistic meaning that can better the agricultural modernization of the new century by reviewing China's agricultural modernization development course for over 50 years in an all-round way, and drawing a conclusion of the party's experiences and lessons in advancing agriculture's modern process conscientiously. This thesis falls into five parts:ForewordIt is necessary to review the current research situation of China's agricultural modernization problems and the status and function of agricultural modernization in the national modernization process. This followed by expounding the writing clue, the main problems to be solved and writing purpose.Part One: Exploration starting stage of the road to China's agricultural modernization—agriculture cooperative transformation movements (1949-1956) I mainly point out the reason why China chose the cooperative transformation movements during the course of starting of China's agricultural modernization. Then I introduce the basic situation in implementing cooperative transformation of agriculture movement. Next, I discuss the historical status and function of agriculture cooperative transformation movement in China's agricultural modernization process emphatically.Part Two: Twisting slow developing stage of the agricultural modernization road of China—People's commune period (1956-1978) I explain the basic situation that the people's commune implements mainly. This followed by how the Central Party Committee corrects the twists of the mistakes of people's commune's "left" incline. Then, I point out several questions which impacted on Chinese agriculture modernization drive of the system of people's commune, etc. The main conclusion that this part draws is that the system of people's commune has hindered China's agricultural modernization drive seriously. Part three: Re-stepping into the right path and continuing a healthy, fast developing period of agricultural modernization road of China—Family-contract responsibility system (1978-1992) I discuss three questions especially. We experienced a difficult course of family-contract responsibility system in replacing of the people's commune. The family-contract responsibility system is a universally acknowledged effective agricultural management mode. Family-contract responsibility system plays positive role to China's agricultural modernization road. Part Four: The way of future development of China's agricultural modernization—Industry integration (from 1992 so far).I mainly talk about several incompatible respects with realizing agricultural modernization after the family-contract responsibility system entering 1990s.
