By the end of 19th century, the United States completed the transition period that changed from free capitalism into monopolistic capitalism. The great changes had taken place on the politics, economics, culture and society. Since domestic economy developed rapidly, the capitalist demanded for obtaining more profit by outputting capital. All that drove the United States government to choose the expansionary road abroad for own development.Just then, the world had been divided up by some other imperialist countries. After careful analysis the situation, the United States put its aim at Spain.(Spain must face to a lot of troubles at that time, on the other hand, Spain was a little weaker than other countries.) Then, the United States got Philippines by America-Spain War, so Philippines had been the colony of the United States for about 50 years. Because of the international background at that time and the United States own reasons.(The United states was a colonial country originally. So it had some differences from other imperialist countries.) When the United States began its rein in Philippines, some historical factors must affect its governing ways and policies. Therefore, the policy of the United States carried out on politics, economics, culture in Philippines were different from other imperialist countries. But whatever policy carried out in Philippines the colonist result was same. It brought the great influence for colonial countries.Based on the above-mentioned review the paper attempts to have a systematic, objective and comprehensive study of the reasons, influence of colonial policies of the United States.
