Tone sandhi is considered as a common phonetic phenomena in Chinese dialect. Nowadays the development of science and technology makes it possible to analyze the phonetic phenomena through the precision instrument. Meanwhile, the way of analysis on the tone sandhi through the optimality theory and method has been our research tendency. However, due to the limitation of the experimental conditions, this thesis hasn't followed this tendency but taken the traditional way to describe and analyze the tone sandhi in Xinzhou dialect existed in writer's hometown. Furthermore writer hopes the achievement of this thesis can work for the latter research through the optimality theory and it can be taken as the base as the phonetic comparison and analysis.Focused on the analysis of tone sandhi for syllabic compounding patters, such as the disyllabic, trisyllabic, qutersyllabic and multisyallabic patters and so on. The thesis expounded respectively the features on tone sandhi in Xinzhou dialect. The analysis and description on the disyllabic compounding patters mainly involve in the several aspects, such as the tone forms, rule of tone sandhi, mode of the sandhi, same sound from the different tone , high and leve tone and so on. The trisyllabic compounding patters can be divided into two forms: special and common form. The ways of the their tone sandhi have nothing with their internal structures, their tone sandhi works in the order from right to left. The tone sandhi of quartersyllabic compounding forms have something with the internal structures. The ways of the tone sandhi of the multisyllabic compounding forms work through some linguistics units that are syncopated according to the discussion stop. The result of tone sandhi is the simple linkage of those linguistic units.Some conclusions have been pointed out in the ending part: tone sandhi of Xinzhou dialect is based on the tone sandhi of the disyllabic compounding patters and the compounding patters take the tone sandhi of the disyllabic compounding patters as the startpoint. At last writer predicts that the tone sandhi of disyllabic compounding patters will influence the development and change of the tone sandhi on other compounding patters in future.
