By means of the analysis of the historical data , appreciation of the works ,I can draw a conclusion that Kuan is not Fan Kuan's nickname, but his own name ; the author of " Mountain & Brook Traveler Picture" should be Fan; the forming reason of his drawing style can be summed up for four essential reasons: kind temper, advocate of Taoism and learning from north style, living in seclusion to Shan. I can also summarize four enlightenments of "Mountain & Brook Traveler Picture": Fine tradition is the foundation of the development of Chinese drawing; Painter drawing is the way for basic skill training; Traditional culture is the means to substantiate the study and cultivation; Cultural spirit is the medium of the correction of morals.
