The Continuation Of Traditional Animation Style And Performance

Chinese traditional animations were well-known among 1950s and 1960s, once called"Chinese animation school". Till now, for variety of reasons, it has lost its glory and honor. How to extend and express Chinese traditional animation style is an urgent responsibility and problem each animator confronted of.The paper mainly analysis creation situation and modern characteristics that Chinese traditional animation currently faces to, puts forward the point that how to continue Chinese traditional style in animation creation in nowadays, and create out Chinese tradition works with modern merits in integration of modern elements. On this basis, this paper also expresses author's experience by combining with individual creative practice, and discusses how to learn traditional style of Chinese animation in respect of script, art style, model & action choreography, etc. Meanwhile, it takes the modern concept and idea into the creation of cartoon, so as to promote the current trend of animated creation, attract more people to improve their appreciation and aesthetic & value standard, and further improve and strengthen the academic standards and contents of current animated creation.
