| Researches about the translation theory have already obtained considerable development in the last hundred years. Mainly influential theories are studies about translating an India-European language into another language. However, the range of studyings is limited. Because every language has its own character, so the translating theories that suit for it are different from others. For example, the research result of translating India-European language into Latin language cannot be used in research of translating Chinese into Korean directly. However, in author's opinion, research of translation theory must be divided into different kinds, which means the research of source language and target language must be separated.It's just the beginning of the research in Chinese-Korean translation theory. Farther studying must be done especially in the field of political criticism. Because political criticism is very important in all kinds of essays and it cannot be ignored.Translation of political criticism is one kind of Argument translation, which includes translations of political criticisms, works of social science, comments, and political speeches, etc.Political criticism uses abstract concept, tight logic, accurate language, simple style, and normal words while not using dialect or slang,and prefer objective narration then passionate rhetoric. The sentences are careful and neat. Long sentence are often used. That is the characteristics of political criticism. As to the requirements of translation, it must be faithful, clear and coherent.In this thesis, different kinds of phenomenon that happened while practicing are arranged and analyzed. And those kinds of phenomenon are explained by theories. Persuasive results are founded. These results are helpful for later translators. Translators must put the theories into practice to find the most ideal method to improve the quantity of translation. Researches on Chinese-Korean translation are widely developed in both China and South Korea. But researches on theories of translating Chinese political criticism into Korean are short. Theory works and thesis that published or issued about Chinese-Korean translation mentioned little about translation of political criticism, and there is not special research results, yet. So, this thesis base on achievements in the past attempts to fill this shortage, and offer some useable results for later research both in theory and practice.In this research, authoritative politics criticisms mainly from Mao zedong's selected works and Deng xiaoping's selected works are picked both in Chinese edition and Korean edition. Large amount of typical sentences are compared. Some rules are founded. The basic structure of Chinese sentences is SVO. The position of key word lies on "O", while itis before "V" in Korean. These two kinds of language are obviously different. And the difference is more obvious in political criticism that needs higher requirements in word order.Translation of political criticism is different from literature or news. It needs exactness and complete structure and tries its best to avoid misunderstanding. When translating Chinese political criticism into Korean, one cannot add or reduce words at will. You must analyze and understand the scene information and translate it into character information completely and exactly.When two attributes decorate one center word, you can transfer the scene information into character information in the form: (D1+D2)A~* D1A+D2A.When one attribute decorates two center words, you can transfer in the form: D(A1+A2)â†'DA1+DA2. And each predicate has its own object.In summary, the cause of transfer scene information into character information is complicate. Deep theory foundation and translation skills are needed. Only under the guide of theory, can Chinese political criticism be translated more exactly and more smoothly into Korean. The results of this research will provide theory basis for Chinese-Korean political criticism translation. |
