P. Larkin and Yu Jian share the same poetics notions and correspond to each other on their poetic behavior, in despite of different poetry traditions, they both, take good use of spoken languages to write against the mainstream of poetry then and there. With comparison of their poetics viewpoints and close-reading of their works, this paper, from the dimension of genetic study, tries to discover how their poetic characteristics come into being. Their style originates from, firstly, the cultural context, these two poets both respond to social and historical changes; The second, it roots in an " anxiety ", which is a pressure from the great achievement of previous poets. The first chapter is a social review on their writing, the second then is comparison of their concrete poetic reaction to corresponding poetry tradition, their torsional writing, to a great extent, arose out of "The Anxiety of Influence" .The epilogue is a research of their language view and philosophy standpoint, and studies the similarities and differences of their wring forms , and accordance of function .
