Foucault Of The Theory And Its Characterization Of The Chinese Avant-garde Literature

The dissertation is devoted to discuss Michel Foucault's theory of author, analyzing its immanence and unique contribution impersonally, and trying to apply to analyze the Avant-garde Literature' author of China, in order to study the signification of Michel Foucault' theory in literature and view through literature in a new visual angle. The dissertation is divided into three parts.The first part discusses Foucault's power-discourse theory, which is the source of the theory. For one thing, I review the theory in the background of time, for it isn't easy to be constructed and there are some reestablished complications. Therefore I firstly look back to the resplendent language time. For other thing, the dissertation simply introduces Foucault' power-discourse theory. Foucault's discussion to linguistics pays more attention to power behind discourse. In Foucault's opinion, it is power that causes the retiring and recurring of author.The second part is the key, which reviews Foucault's theory of author and unique contribution in depth. For a long time, it was the death of author that was heatedly discussed in the world of philosophy and literature. In the background, Foucault envisages the fact of the retiring. He, meanwhile, considers that this simple conclusion misfits a analysis of author who in all time is a pendent reason in fact. After the discrimination,Foucault brings forward that the author is not a common proper noun but a function of discourse. The name of the author is always with the work, which limits its bound and shows its existence and character.
