Vocabulary is one of the important factor of language, which reflects the different aspects of language. Vocabulary study is one of the important parts of language studies. The learning strategies are required during the whole process of language learning. However, the field of vocabulary learning strategies research is still very dry and few people are willing to touch. For the Thai students learning Chinese, Chinese vocabulary is one of the most urge problems need to be solved. Therefore, the research of vocabulary learning strategies of Thai students is worthy of discussing.Based on the learning strategies theory of O'Malley & Chamot's, This paper divides the learning strategies into four parts, that is, meta-cognitive strategies, cognitive strategies, memory strategies and social/affective strategies. The study adopts investigated and quantitative method to investigate the vocabulary learning strategies of Thai Students studying Chinese, and the way of the questionnaire and vocabulary size tests as well. The software SPSS11.0 was used as a tool of analyzing the data.This paper includes five parts. The introduction part brings forward the topic, the research objective and research meaning. The second part discusses the concepts related to learning strategies, which includes the concept and the dissatisfaction of learning strategies etc. This part also introduced some famous linguists' theory on learning strategies and vocabulary learning strategies. The third part mainly introduces the studying method and procedure of studying, which includes the design of the questionnaire, the collection of data and the statistic way etc. The fourth part mainly analyzes the result of data statistic. The fifth part draws a conclusion according to the investigations and suggests the rule and way of solving problems.
