Conversion, From Philosophy To Literary Theory

"Zi ran" is an important category in the Chinese ancient literary theory. And there is a kind of significant literary thoughts based on the soul "zi ran" concept, which we call "zi ran" literary theory. The history of Chinese ancient "zi ran" literary theory is a long process. It mainly based on the Taorism, absorbing Confucian thoughts, Buddhism elements in the later time.In the Wei and Jin dynasty, "zi ran" transformed from the philosophy field to the literary theory gradually, and founded a special literary theory taking "zi ran" as its soul concept. From then on, from Sui and Tang dynasty, to Song and Yuan period ,even to Ming and Qing dynasty, "zi ran" literary theory turned more and more mature , then became the most significant thoughts in the history of Chinese ancient literary theory.In addition, the concept "zi ran" differs from the concept "nature "nowadays, however ,its original meaning in ancient history is " as it is being", " some character borned with " .This thesis takes the evolution of the " zi ran" concept as the clue, takes the foundation of "zi ran" literary theory in Wei and Jin dynasty as the main object. The purpose of this thesis is to study the transformation of the "zi ran" concept from the philosophy field to the literary theory in Wei and Jin dynasty, and illustrate the great influence in the later time.There are four parts in the whole paper as follows:Firstly, "zi ran" as the most important concept in the philosophy of Taorism, has a deep philosophical resource .From Lao zi , Zhuang zi , even to Han dynasty, the development of "zi ran" goes through a long and complex history.Secondly, "zi ran" concept transforms gradually from philosophy field to literary theory.The study on Xuan, the fashion of anti-morality, the ideal personality with the state as it is being and so on , all this makes it possible for the transform of "zi ran "from philosophy field to literary theory.Thirdly, during Wei and Jin even Liu Chao period, Liu Xie and his theory, represented in the great works Wen Xin Diao Long, Zhong Rong and his thoughts, represented in another great woks Shi Pin, they both were on behalf of the most significant achievements in thehistory of "zi ran" literary-art development.From then on , "zi ran" became a formal literary-art phrase, and made deep influence over the later literary.Finally, there is a conclusion about the development in the later time. From Tang dynasty, Song dynasty, even to Qing dynasty, the theory of "zi ran "literary theory still went more and more further, more and more deeper ,and made a perfect conclusion for the history of the Chinese ancient "zi ran" literary theory development.
