This text proceeds with literature tradition and explores that Kundera is different in the ordinary novel and novel theory. Kundera grows in the history of the whole novel, especially a novel which regards Rabelaisian, M.de Cenantes ,etc. as representatives. Bakhtin calls it carnival types and Northrop Frye called it analyzing types. The former lays particular emphasis on experience of carnival, and the latter lays particular emphasis on analyzing about the question. This text mediates the two, fabricate "carnival and analyze types" to censure Kundera's novels. This concept has already reflected his novel characteristic in an all-round way —humorous novels and thesis novels. It can explain a great deal of key problems of his novel theory —the definition of the novel, the relation of novels and the world, the idea of modernism, etc. It can illuminate the centre and goal where Kundera's novel art point to and hint the complexity of the aesthetics orientation of this kind of novel to us.Chapter one of this text is the exploration to the traditional of Kundera's novels. Among numerous novel types, his novels and Frye's "analyzing types " are in a continuous line, analyzing the problem that people facing, pursuing the unconstrained forms with knowledge. Bakhtin's "carnival types "include the same writers and works. It laid particular emphasis on the relativity of truth and sense of humors. "Analyze" and"carnival" s prove the characteristic of Kundera's novels and theory Then," carnival and analyze types "can be established.Chapter two is to study on Kundera's important problems of novel theory. Kundera's concept about novels is just because of "carnival and analyze types". He emphasizes freedom of novel. It is different with others. He has seen the possibility of the novel's death. And complexity, fuzziness, humorous all point to the world and human's final issues. The responsibility of the novel is to find and analyze the questions. So his novel and novel ideas are closely related to world, reality. We can't reduce "reality "because of differentiation of "being" and "reality ". Understanding in modernism relates to reality. Only inheriting the tradition and is loyal to reality, it is the real modernism.Chapter three is to study on artistic and an important theme of Kundera's novels. Novel arts and narration strategies used all submit to " carnival and analyze types ". Characters are to analyze existing problem and obtain humorous need of result determine. Counterpoint type plot is different from Bakhtin's. It means parallel counterpoint of the structure and it focus on concept not on dramatics. Kundera who continue "carnival and analyze types" pursues difficult beauty. Influence from surrealism, he yearn for beauty produced from heterogeneous factors. Peculiar aesthetics standards make him not be relative on aesthetics, and the analysis of the human's being problem is to purse " reality ", the pursuit to the self- freedom and arts means " goodness ". So, his aesthetics is integration of the truth, the goodness and the beauty.
