Jin and Tang dynasty is such a period that the aesthetics structure mode of china portrait gos to formation , developent and maturity. Namely, the china portrait obtains to appreciate beauty the structure mode with Chinese culture mutually and consistently. One hand, the influence that reflects the culture spread to the peortrait painting realm; On the other hand, the portrait reflect obtains a position in accordance with the culture . The relation between form and mind involve of portrait drawing, reflecting this kind of combine .This paper takes the relation between painting and culture as the root to study the same and differt of relationship between form and mind of two dynasty as time gos by.The full paper is divided into three parts. Ex- two parts, I'd like to combine the society and cultural background of Jin Tang, discussed the characteristic of the form and idea relation respectively, the third part, I try to elaborate the different and similar of the relationship between form and mind, and its performance in the shape language.The first place:Esquire who have a good citure attched themselves to indite ,and metaphysics infection them a lot. They like not civilize but lifelike . They appreciate beauty self- conscious to solve the problem about skill ,and borrowing breeze of metaphysics pay attion to the spirit of the human being .At last ,the prtrait painting can set free out from the shackie of " functionalism " and" form" , even become a example of cultural.A painter of Jin thinks that the portrait is very difficult, but it is a little bit difficult not to lie in the " form", but lie in the person painting's needing to " envision", namely, the corpus need to realize the " absolute being" of object, not limit only on descriping the objective form. Certainly," absolute being" of the metaphysics person, must pass the works then can carry it out in the painting, but this through" move to think" is of the form of the work, is a realization that appreciates beauty the idea, have already differed from the form of the objective things .
