Song Meiling life has extended three centuries, and she has the participants andobserver of many important events in modern times. Studying in the United states ather early stage contributed decisively to the acquisition of her high-level knowledge,the information of her independent personality and her method of looking at the world.The political marriage with Jiang Jieshi laid the deep foundation of her "gettingsomewhere". It can be said that Song succeeded in integrating Chinese and westerncultures on the ground of the semi-feudal and semi-colonial modern China, and shewas an important personage on the intersection of oriental culture and occidentalculture.Song as a historical figure who has experienced a lot of political changes, waslong judged controversially by the academia. How to objectively and justly evaluateSong mainly depends on scientific research approaches and methods. This paper aimsat proposing new evaluational standards and measurement on the point if the bestinterest of country and nation; reflecting the broad historical vision and magnificenttolerance. The paper also employs a host of historical facts to objectively prove thatSong has made numerous efforts when she confronted herself with the issues ofmodern society such as independence of the nation and the unification of country, Shehad the nationalistic thoughts as well.Insistence on Resistance against Japan and unification of the country is thehighlight of Song's political career, which is also accentuated in this paper. In herdevotion to the Chinese Anti-Japanese war, Song prompted the peaceful solution of"the Xi'an Incident"and promoted the second cooperation of the communist partyand the Kuomintang(KMT)which laid the solid foundation of the final victory of theAnti-Japanese War. She founded the advancement of Chinese modernization. At thenarrow existence of the nation, she devoted herself to the whole Resistance againstJapan, She saved and helped the refugee; organized the women's movement; went tothe front several times to comfort the wounded soldiers and to transport the goods andmaterials. She also undertook the responsibilities as the"wartime broadcaster", writingreports for domestic and foreign journals. In 1943, Song went to America and Canadawhere she made efforts to get wartime aid, On the issue of unification of the country,Song insisted on the position of "One China", and protested strongly against"Taiwan's Independence".
