Nowadays, as an important way of cultural spreading, "emigration" has become a more and more widespread and frequent international action when the world has been integrated increasingly. The Overseas New Emigrant Novel refers to the novels which were written by the emigrants who emigrated to a foreign country from the mainland of China. These novels mainly reflect the life of students studying abroad or that of new emigrants. These works vividly depictthe struggling and development tracks of new emigrants-from hard breakingout of an encirclement to ups and downs of the life abroad, and even to seeking a kind of surpassing life at the higher level. Consistent with the process, the writers have changed gradually from paying attention to the "self or the superficial state of individual life to thinking deeply about the "big-self", society and life. These novels are usually idealist.New emigrants immigrated into other countries not only carrying the national culture, but also accepting the foreign country's culture when they adjusted themselves to get used to new culture. The double cultural status not only offer the overseas new emigrant writers unique life experience, but also make them have different visual angle from native writers, which have made their works be a kind of writing about memory and fate that can not be substituted because nation, history, culture have been mixed in them. Especially, the unique double cultural status make the new emigrant writers be able to overstep the bounds of different countries, races and cultures, so that they could pay close attention to and show the common destiny of mankind with more unrestricted light and more broader mind. Thus, they will open up the new state of their works continuously.
