The project is composed of two parts. The first part is the translation of the original text China’s Economic Conditions from English to Chinese, which is written by Wayne M. Morrison in 2009, an American specialist in Asian trade and finance. As is known to all, the latest global economic crisis started in 2008, which has been deeply influencing the whole world including the U.S. and China. This report provides an overview of China’s economic development, challenges China faces to maintain growth, and the implications of China’s rise as a major economic power for the United States under the background of the economic crisis. The second part is some of my afterthoughts about how to do the translation better technically.
