Sensualist Modern

Based on the angle of modernity, synchronic analysising the main works of the New Neosensualist School writrs,this thesis is tried to response to the discourse of retrospection of modernity in the cultural idea and irresistible historical practice and the dissertation will face the new perspective in the discussion of the modern Chinese novels will restart its interpretation and find its complex meaning .My dissertation is divided into five chapters.the first chapter is defines Modernity process,but also a cultural spirit,and as soon as the modernity comes into being,it will continue its change within inner texture. so this thesis introduces the Modernity on two kinds.One is Historic Modernity and the other is Literary Modernity .The Historic Modernity displays the yearning and pursuchasing for modem maiden who serves as the symbol and carrier of modem material civilization, moreover, displays eulogizing the product of modern machine civilization and industry civilization.The Literary Modernity displays mankind's objectified sense and repressed sense from modern machine civilization, which is felt by aesthetic intuition, when they were indulged in metropolis material civilization. Furthermore, it displays not only the alienations sense between men, but also the division sense between man and himself resulting from hedonism sex-focusing, materialism and money—oriented. Finally, by means of comparison the section try to reach the new cognition and evaluation on modernity of the Neosensualist School.The third section chiefly expounds the classical aesthetic sense of the Neosensualist School, and dissects the metropolis vice imagery from the perspective of their ethical aesthetic sense, pursues the either thick or slight spiritual trip of regressing to nature and home village.
