Nanjing National Government Rural Reconstruction Movement

Since modern times, Chinese agriculture declines day by day, peasants are becoming poorer and poorer, and the rural crisis is becoming more seriously. Especially after entering the twenties, the rural economy advanced with higher speed on the track collapsing even more, the ability that the rural society bore the weight of the crisis has already reached the limit. It seems that the collapse will occur only a night. Numerous intellectuals, industrialist , patriotic personages all appeal for "relieving the village", "revive the countryside". And there are a lot of schemes has already been put into effect. The Kuomintang government also realize "no try, no future; no relieve, now way". After finishing unifying in the whole country, it begin to pay attention to the problem that how to resolve the rural crisis and revive the countryside, to set about to improve and popularize the agricultural science and technology. A reviving campaign is launched in countryside. But it is not involved in changing the rural relations of production in the countryside, and the essential question is not related to rural crisis. Therefore it is useless to suppress the tendency of decline of Chinese agriculture effectively , dissolve the very heavy crisis in the countryside of China, and solve the profound contradiction of the countryside of China fundamentally.
