WU YA GU that surviving in JINGZHIYU hamlet ZHANGZHUANG calm PINGDING county YANGQUAN city SHANXI province is the concrete investigative object of this thesis. The author is on the base of related theories and research methods such as sociology, folk-custom study, especially dance-anthropology etc. The thesis focuses on WU YA GU, as for the background of history and culture, investigates and researches their relation in order to find which factors affect its development. From the views of culture study, the author researches, analyzes and explains its basic form, typical character, function, inheritance and transformation of WU YA GU.
