Giddens Social History Theory Criticism

This article was directed by the Materialist Conception of History, evaluated the Giddens' social history theory, emphatically analyzed three basic works of "Concerning relation between the materialist conception of history and modern society" , carefully examined the relation of Giddens' Theory of Structuration and society, state and Political party, not only pointed out the falsehood in his "criticize of Materialist Conception of History" , but also draw the beneficial thought that he criticizes the dogma materialism, directed by "Developing history of working" and "Developing history of personal strength" , made the new explanation to modern social changes.This article was divided into five parts. The first part was the introduction of the article, introduced briefly Giddens' life, academic research course, domestic and international current situation of research on Giddens' theory thought and realistic meanings.The second chapter introduced Giddens' Theory of Structuration from the basic concept and key questions of Theory of Structuration, made the most basic theory foreshadowing for understanding Giddens' trilogy. In following part the Materialist Conception of History was analyzed, and studied Giddens' theory of social changes by using the theory of "three shapes" of Materialist Conception of History, pointed out his fundamental falsefood,and the certain reasonable ingredients.
