New Fiction Writing, Literature Between Man And Nature

Reviewing the one-hundred-year long history of Chinese literature of new age we find that when it reflects on the relationship between human and nature it exploits the resources of new culture and aesthetics, which results in its conversion regarding aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic principle. The thesis analyzes the new literary phenomenon from these two aspects.Chinese traditional culture of thousands of years leaves us an inconsistent and unclear mental wealth of ecology, of which the concept of combining Heaven and human into one and the belief that man can conquer nature get tangled up. The former concept and the idea that law follows nature, which are heatedly discussed in the present field of ecological environmentalism, are only the new decipherment of the traditional resource made by the new theory;the latter merges with the trend to revive and save the nation from extinction in the late 19^th century. They together arouse the enthusiasm lasting from the contemporary literature until the twenty-seven-year literature. Due to this the disputation against these ideas made by new literature becomes more prominent. In addition, we can never ignore the influence upon the arising of the new literary phenomenon exerted by the change of the international situation.From the aspect of aesthetic consciousness the literature of new age, which originates from trauma literature and reflective literature, does not only condemn the harm done by the far left-leaning line to human body and soul but also unearths the damage to nature caused by the political tragedy. Consequently, it reveals the essence of the left-leaning line that is in the reverse direction of humanity, nature and life. With the development of the literature of new age writers do not just stay on the level of accusation. They all direct their sight at nature containing endless vital motivity with the hope to discover the source of new life force.These two angles of observing nature make much bigger improvement thanprevious ones, but one directs its attitude towards the past and the other towards the tradition. None of them attains a scientific and practical cognition of nature. With the increasingly acute conflict between the economic development and the ecological environment, literary works begin to represent the crisis of nature and the vagrancy of spirit resulting from the crisis. They attempt to seek the new rule for human being to get along with nature. The image of the Land of Peach Blossoms starts to emerge in many writers' works. In the process of searching people stand in awe of nature again, which makes the new literature bear a sense of philosophical religion.In the respect of aesthetic principle the review of the relationship between man and nature establish a new aesthetic space. It provides literature with new aesthetic objects. The images of landscapes, customs and animals appear with vivid life force and special character in the literary works. On the other hand, the hew literary phenomenon surpasses the concept and techniques of the traditional realism. It brings us a distinctive aesthetic feeling.
