1920s, especially May 4th movement ,is the furious time against traditionalism and moral warfare between old and new. Chinese writers are against the traditional ethic and moral using the weapon of western rationalistic spirit, at the same time, they abandon the soul of the western rationalistic spirit that is the deep motivity of the development of rationalisticism. Chinese writers accept unilaterally and comprehend mistakenly the western rationalistic spirit. This makes them plunge difficult phase. They know it is impossible to stand against the death of old moral in sense, but they show the nostalgia to the old moral in feeling. They negate the traditional moral entirely in theory, but they can not get rid of the effect in practice and have to obey restriction.Because of the wrong understand the sense have not led and controlled the feeling when writers introduce into the western rationalistic spirit and bring along the eruption of feeling. This lead the tension and contradictory between feeling and sense in the new literature. This leads to the identity without consciousness to the traditional moral when dramatis personae obey the modern moral. This identity makes the individual with the western rationalistic spirit can not get rid of the fetter of traditional moral. In this embarrassment, the individual choose the regress. The regress for mother love is one of the embodiment. On the other hand, the writers praise and rebuild the the traditional moral.The absence of practice character in sense is the show that have no sufficiency when writers accept the western rationalistic spirit. Writers have to choose the only way of sacrifice. In literature, the soar of the humanitarianism is the obvious embodiment.This awkward phenomena not only influences the artistic connotation in 1920s but also impels the birth of new aesthetics style. From morbidezza and softness to impulsion and sentiment, it is the important conversion. It is inconsistent that have impulsion and sentiment in the same period. This is theembodiment that writers have the dilemma in moral at that time. Literature in 1920s pour out the Chinese modern writers' dilemma in moral with its' particular aesthetics style.
