The language study of special works is the basis of the dynastic language study. The dynastic language research is the premise of the study of Chinese language history. Because of the abundance of the ancient written records of our country, we must choose some representative materials to study. By this, we can ascertain the time peculiarity of the development of Chinese language and establish the foundation of scientific division of the language history into periods and then accelerate the development of Chinese language history.The Eastern Jin Dynasty belongs to the middle ancient ages, which has the unique status and great importance in Chinese language history. It was the first and tremendous changeable period for ancient Chinese language since pre-qin Dynasty. After Dang and Song Dynasties, many spoken Chinese elements that differ from ancient Chinese language often may go upstream to this period. Middle Agama is a classical work written in Eastern Jin Dynasty, which contains many valuable language materials and reflects the spoken language of its time to some degree. All these are of great value for the study of the Eastern Jin Chinese language and even of pre-qin and modern Chinese.We described the grammatical functions of Middle Agama's pronouns with the exhaustively quantitative and qualitative analysis. Sometimes typical cases were traced back to ancient times and made a long time span historical comparison, making every effort comprehensively to reflect its pronouns condition. Middle Agama's pronouns may be divided into the personal pronoun, demonstrative pronoun and interrogative pronoun. Each has certain species. The first personal pronoun contains Wo(我) and 吾), and the former occupies the absolute superiority. The second personal pronoun only has Ru(汝). The third personal pronoun contains Zhi(之), Qi(其) and other terms. There is no usage that Ta(他) refers to the third personal pronoun. In the demonstrative pronoun, Zi(兹), Fu(夫), Mo(莫) and Ruo(若) have no usage. Si(斯) was used a few times. The interrogative pronoun displays a tend to the standard character.Middle Xgama's system of pronoun appears a state of integrity and mixture of new and old pronoun terms.
