Empathy is a sort of complicated social emotional experience.The present paper explored the structure of empathy ,the correlation between empathy and positive personality and the impact of empathy and situation on prosocial behaviors.firstly, the present research one defined the structure of empathy by theory studies, and then it selected more than 300 undergraduates to make a further exploration of the structure of empathy through the questionaire method.The result recognized that empathy includes four sub-structures: perspective taking, fantasy, empathetic concern and personal distress. At the same time,the study found people's abilities of perspective taking, fantsy and personal distress may have an evidently effect on the level of one's empathetic concern, and people's abilities of persepective taking and fantasy may affect the level of one's personal distress. Otherwise, among the four sub-structures, there are evidently positive corrrelations between each other, but the correlation between perspective and personal distress is markedly negative. The present research two analyzed the relations between empathy and positive personalities through the questionaire method. The outcome argued that there has a positive correlation between empathy and positive personalities. Among the four sub-structures, there have positive correlations between the sub-structures and the positive personalities, yet there have negative correlations between the personal dietress and the positive personalities except between the personal distress and the spirituality. Furtherly, some positive personalities have abilities to predict the empathy and it's sub-structures. The research three employed slides (make diffrent dummy instances) and story-induced empathy to probe into the relations between different empathy levels and prosocial behaviors in different instances. The result presented that the students in empaty-induced team made more prosocial behavior decision-makings than students in no empathy-induced team. Moreover, in the same instance, there has no diffrence between students in high-empathy-induced team and students in low-empathy-induced team, and this perhaps is because adults' abilities of perspective taking may bring important promotion to their empathy and prosocial behavior decision-makings. In addition, in difficult-escape instance, students could make more prosocial behavior decision-makings than students in easy-escape instance. These showed empathy factor and instance factor have important influences on people's prosocial behavior decision-makings. At last, the problems in the current research and the prediction were pointed out.
