The aesthetic thinking of Schiller occupies an indispensable position in the classical aesthetics of Germany. The research of Schiller's aesthetic thinking is an important link to the entrance of the splendid palace of German classical aesthetics. Schiller has always been working hard for pursuing freedom and the realizing liberation for the whole human race. Just as Goethe said, the core of all Schiller's thinking is "freedom" - the realization of human liberation. Schiller, during his whole life, has been searching a way for human being to get rid of the natural condition and to reach a civilized stage in which people get moral and rational freedom. He wrote a series of books on aesthetics - Discussion of Aesthetics, Letters of Aesthetic Education, Discussions of Simple Poems and Sentimental Poems under the education of real life and the inspiration of a group of theorists such as Kant and Goethe. These books, which have great influence on the aesthetic works of later generations, advocate seeing aesthetic condition as a middle condition through the changing of human nature from being natural to being moral. By aesthetics, people can overcome the splitting and get real liberation.By taking "liberation" as a key in exploring the aesthetic thinking of Schiller and using liberation as a cutting point, this thesis deeply and systematically discusses Schiller's thinking of considering freedom as a core no matter in aesthetic theory works, art theory works or literal works.
