WeZhao's annotation is now the most early and complete one among ancient annotations of GuoYu. Before the annotation of WeiZhao, there has several people such as ZhengZhong, JiaKui, WangSu, YuFan, TangGu made annotations for GuoYu. According to the objective, practical and rigorous annotated manner and the simple and precision annotated style, WeiZhao absorbed the right opinions of many scholars and got rid of the wrong viewpoints. Once WeiZhao's annotation appeared, other annotations all disappeared. Thus, the annotation of WeiZhao became the necessary book for reading and researching GuoYu. Depending on the abundant contents, the annotation of WeiZhao provides precious resources for the hermeneutic research of the future generation.Currently, the research on WeiZhao's annotation of GuoYu in academic circles mostly concentrates on history, but pays little attention to hermeneutic research. From the angle of hermeneutics, this thesis makes study of WeiZhao's annotation to GuoYu from three chapters: chapter 1 explores the contents and methods of checkage and the methods of phonetic notations in WeiZhao's annotation; chapter 2 investigates the hermeneutic means of WeiZhao's annotation from word explaining, sentence explaining, grammatical analyses and rhetorical analyses; chapter 3 analyses some unfitting places both in WeiZhao's annotation and in the predecessor's criticism to WeiZhao's annotation.
