"System" and "value" are two important categories in the contemporary realistic life and the theory. Along with the deep reform and transformation of society, the old systems are continuously substituted by the new ones, so it inevitably causes the lack and the leak of system in a way, and appears many out-of-order phenomena; in the meantime, the value problem is also increasingly appearing in the society, which brings various perplexities in the thought. To study and solve many realistic problems at present, we must study the system and value and the relations between them.In the research of "the system and value", the main argumentation is the method of the Marxist history materialism, namely the basic principle of "social existence determines social consciousness". In the view of history materialism, social structure is the concrete form of the social existence, and outlook of value, the core of the social consciousness, is the basic reflection of social existence. The mankind fixes and regulates some association relations and social relations by reasonable design in the long-term iterative practices, thus the system comes forth. According to the history materialism, system means behavior criterions established by social productions and social relations, and it reflects conditions of social thought at certain history stage. The system is the social rule, formed in the association process, and it also is association rules used to moderate the behavior. The society always exists in the form of the system, that is, the system is a form of social existence. The people's activities not only educate the social relations and social system, but also pursue, realizes and creates the value and constructs outlook of value.
