In late Qing dynasty,BeiPai was at its developmental peak.As a novel theory of calligraphy, BeiPai made a great influence on the science of calligraphy and acquired prominent achievement. When people studied calligraphy of late Qing dynasty,They ofen paid much more attention to BeiPai than Tiepai.In fact,Tie was also acting on people's calligraphy study in the development of BeiPai.Even those calligraphy artists of BeiPai not only advocated Bei but also absorbed the quintessence of Tie.At the same time those calligraphy of TiePai admitted the viewpoint of BeiPai in varying degrees. So the thesis expatitated on the science of calligraphy from the angle of the integration of Bei with Tie, which is supposed to objectively evaluate the role of Tie.The main coment of the thesis includes: the definition on Bei and Tie,BeiPai and TiePai, the integration of Bei with Tie; the sense of research in late Qing dynasty from the intergration of Bei with Tie ; the reason of the integration of Bei with Tie in late Qing dynasty, the theory and practice in the integration of Bei with Tie in late Qing dynasty.From the theory and practice in the integration of Bei with Tie in late Qing dynasty,this thesis want to draw such conclution : BeiPai and TiePai did not develop isolately but integrated together almost the time. The integration of Bei with Tie was developing with the innovation of BeiPai. The theory and practice in the integration of Bei with Tie in late Qing dynasty were mingled , this conclution will help to undershand the science of calligraphy deeply in late Qing dynasty.
