Based on the data of archaeology, oracle bone inscriptions and ancient literature, this paper mainly studies on architectural vocabulary which were recorded on oracle bones in SHANG dynasty, and divided on four chapters.Chapter One describes the nowadays research status of architectural vocabulary written on oracle bone, and then introduces a large number of the important reference books and articles.Chapter Two lists all these SHANG dynasty buildings into three classifications, Palace, Temple and Relative Buildings, and Others, according to various uses written down by the related oracle bone inscriptions,.Chapter Three demonstrates that the typical palaces in SHANG dynasty, such as SHANG cities in YANSHI, ANYANG and the northern bank of HUAN river, had the similar layout which is a closed SIHEYUAN facing to south and consists of main palace, door and window, courtyard and portico at least.Chapter Four elaborates the capital of SHANG and its political region divisions.
