Abstract: this paper is to probe the basic approaches prominently distinguish literature from the reality of life through the discussion of the relationship between author and the reality, and mainly through the analysis of Yu Hua's literary writing, this paper is going to prospect the various rich forms that presented in the turning process from reality to literature. The key point in thispaper is that-----" Real life is the soil of literature. Real life producesliterature as well as buries literature, discards literature. Pretty flowers only come out of the works of overtaking of reality while plain roots dying noiseless underground. Literature is a kind of overtaking of reality, and the difficulty can only be met with and sternly considered by earnest and devoted writers. If literature is set apart from reality, then the pretty flower must die in the air." The organization of this paper focuses on the aspects of "narrative form, content and language" and the like, to perceive Yu Hua's choice of approaches in this "overtaking" process. Moreover, while absorbing nourishment from Chinese classic esthetics this paper aims to pioneer a study perspective of Chinese traditional characteristic differing from western post-modernism analysis system, and furthermore trusses a relatively particular flat roof to study Chinese contemporary novels.
