Feminine characters' emotional appeal is emphasized in analyzing Luyin's representative works.Luyin, as famous as Bingxin in May 4th period, shaped a series of female figures living in the specific times, especially intellectual women, through her distinctive emotional experiences, authentic and profound insight. Undeniably, these feminine images exceed her own limitation though Luyin reflected herself in her novels. Assessed from the historic perspective, her works reflected all the aspects of feminine life during the special historic background.There are four chapters. The first chapter is about the intellectual women's emotional appeal for old-styled family and social public affairs on the threshold of the new times. Chapter two explores love and marriage of the intellectual women who try to break through feudal marriage system. In chapter three, it is studied to appeal for friendship between the intellectual women and men and among intellectual women. Chapter four expounds that the intellectual women resort to the religion in order to exempt from anguish and achieve spiritual self-emancipation.Image study in the paper combines social background with family and educational background.
