How to deal with emergencies? This issue is getting a lot of widespread concern by party committees and governments at all levels as a focus of their work. It also attracts academics seriously, which has achieved many research results. Indeed , in the 80 years of history , particularly in hard revolutionary war, the Communist Party of China have experienced a lot of emergencies , some of which are related to the party's survival and the nation's prosperity . In dealing with these emergencies, the party have created many experiences. Clearly, summing up seriously the party's experience in this area has an important reference for us to deal with emergencies today.Wannan Incident was a significant emergency which the CCP had experienced in Sino-Japanese War. It caused almost the KMT-CPC towards the periphery of the resistance completely, and made the War of Resistance against Japan faced with a serious crisis. Faced with this severe test, the Chinese Communist Party finally resolved the crisis of the outbreak of large-scale civil war by calmly dealing with it. It made a significant contribution to the War of Resistance against Japan, and had a profound impact on the domestic political situation. Therefore, this article intends to demonstrate the strategies and measures taken by the Chinese Communist Party in Wannan Incident from the perspective of dealing with emergencies, and to sum up historical experiences.This article consists of six components. The first part profiles mainly the occurrence of Wannan Incident and the heavy losses suffered by the CCP, and discusses the severe challenges the CCP faced and the great significance of dealing with it.From the second to the fifth part, profiles respectively the politically strong counterattack, the military active defense, the organizational tight deployment, and the criticism on public opinion. Of these, the second part , i.e. political responses, include Zhou Enlai and others' solemn negotiation with the KMT in Chongqing and the protests of the CPC Central Committee when the incident occurred , and "on the instructions Wannan Incident" issued by the CPC Central Committee , and the order to rebuild the New Fourth Army issued by the CPC Central Military Commission , and the CMC spokesman's speech after the incident occurred , and refusing to attend the national politics for protesting ,and the settlement proposal .
