The internal national and religious conflicts were rather complex and acute when Singapore was founded. How to deal with these problems related to the stability of Singapore's state power. Based on the facts that Singapore was various nations and religions, the state power dealed with the national and religious policies relating to work, and realizied the important of harmonization among nation and tolerance among religions.This paper discussed the Singapore's national and religious policies and the inspirations we can draw for building the harmonious society. The first part: It mainly described the national and religions situations when Singapore was founded, and gave instructions from three aspects: the components of the nations; the beliefs of religions; the relations between nations and religions. The second part: It analysed the details of Singapore's national and religious policies from two aspects: the national policy and the religion policy. The third part: It analysed the effects of the national and religious policies in building Singapore'harmonious society based on acquainting them, and also refered to the inspirations we can draw from the policies.
