In the mid1960of the20th century to the late80th, Singapore became one of themost important partnershipstate in the reign of Chiang Ching-Kuo in Taiwan, becauseof the similar social background. The two sides have maintained a long-term closetrade and military relationship by their own personal efforts.In this paper, four parts are presented. Firstly, the author analyses the foreignpolicy from Taiwan and Singapore under tense situation both at home and abroad bythe intenrational situation at that time and the social background compairng. Secondly,the author introduces authoritarian policy in Taiwan and Singapore. The two leadershave the absolute power. Under the precondition of uniform diplomatic relations, theso-called political relationship actually is the personal relationship between ChiangChing-Kuo and Lee Kuan Yew and the interaction from the highest quarters. Then, theauthor analyses the reasons for the vigorous development of economic in Taiwan andSingapore, and reflects that the economic links as an important part of theirrelationship by the trade and investment relationship between the two sides. Finally,this article tries to take the point view of the Star Plan military aids supplied byTaiwan, further to discover the essence of their relationship and the impact of militaryrelations.
