3D laser scanning technology is developed in recent years a high-tech, high-speed laser measurement method, fast, large, accurate access to information 3D objects to the establishment of a scientific and accurate data model provides a new technological means. 3D laser scanning technology in archaeological exploration application is of great practical and historical significance, to a true record of archaeological excavations scene reproduction archaeological excavations around the site of the original appearance.By using 3-D laser scanning technology in this paper, the Sanxingdui ruins, the Jinsha Ruins figure archaeological work; proposed a detailed, workable process, its main contribution is as follows:(1) Through the use of 3D laser scanning technology acquisition archaeological site of 3D geometric information and image information of the actual work, is a 3D laser scanner and digital camera scene of operational procedures, the actual scene of operation scanning site design criteria, all-round high-quality field data collection.(2) A comprehensive study of RISCAN_PRO software and POLYWORKS software modeling method archaeological excavation site against the digitization of demands, given the data reduction, smoothing, noise elimination, multi-site data combinations, 3D geometric modeling and 3D model repair methods.(3) Using visual calculation principles of digital camera precision calibration, given the large texture generation, achieved the texture mapping. This work further study of 3D laser scanning technology in the field of archeology and heritage preservation of laying the foundation.
