Achievement Goal Orientation theory from social cognitive perspective to explain the achievements of individual motivation and achievement, in achievement motivation in recent years become a hot research field problems. As Achievement Goal Theory to explain the development of academic students have an important role, make it educators and psychologists were topics at the forefront of research, much attention at home and abroad . In this study, achievement goal orientation theory introduced to the field of music. , on the basis of the Beijing Music Majors achievement goal orientation for the initial exploration. Scale used self — "Beijing Music Majors achievement goal orientation" scale, Beijing' s 267 music majors for state achievement goals in a preliminary study came to the following conclusions :1 Music, a professional students achievement goals in three dimensions (learning goal orientation, performance avoid goal orientation, performance avoid goal orientation), there was significant differences, its leading achievement goals for the learning goals, Lead in goals There is no sex differences, boys and girls are the dominant objective of learning orientation .2 Music Major students achievement goals three dimensions no significant difference in different sex . In learning goal orientation and performance avoid goal orientation, girls score higher than boys on average. In performance avoid goal orientation, the boys score slightly higher than the average female, but there was no significant difference.3 Different types of schools students in the Music Department of performance avoid goal orientation differences. College students in music performance, avoid directional significantly lower than Normal university of Music at the College of Music and adult students. Normal university Music Department and adult music students in performance avoid goal orientation there was no significant difference.4 Different grade music students achievement goals, learning goal orientation are different, a grade scores significantly higher than the third grade, fourth gradesignificantly higher than that of two-year and three-year.5 Different grade music students achievement goals of the three dimensions of thedevelopment trend is different. Learning goal orientation and performance avoidgoal orientation, the four-year trend was folding. In performance avoid goalorientation, the four-year development showing from the first to fourth grade,continuous downward trend.
