The Ordos Jin Dialect Tetrasyllabic Word Study

Dialects in Erdos district belong to Jin language district, which have both generality and difference in pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar compared with Jin district.In regard to vocabulary, the tetrasyllabic words are used by largely at the Jin language area, not only abundance in forms ,but also have brilliant characters that other dialect areas don't have. In this thesis, the Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos is the research object. The dictionary being compiled by Li zhiguo and another dictionary compiled by Hasen and shengli are main refered in this thesis.I will describe basic characteristic of Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos,analyse the reason and characteristc in cognitive linguistics ,and then invesgate the usage of Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words in Dalate banner of Erdos by questionnaire.The purpose of this thesis is to analyse Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words roundly and systemicly.This article is grouped into 5 chapters.Introduction.To introduce the research status quo of Jin language, point out significance of research and meaning that by used in this thesis, identify Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos, so as to definite the scope of the research.Chapter 1: Brief introduction of Erdos. This chapter includes three aspects :geography, history and general situation of the dialect in Erdos.From the description,we may explore the background of Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos.Chapter 2:The component instruction of Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos.First of all,This chapter introduces the recent researchful production by linguists in this field. Secondly, it analyses basic form and characteristic of constitution of Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos from four aspects: compound type, overlap type, derivable type and "ge" word of acronym.Chapter 3: The Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos's trope and cognition characteristic.In this chapter,I will analyse the basic characteristics of Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos from trope and meaning.And then take A eyebrow C eye type as an example, I will find the reason of formation of Jin-language-tetrasyllabic words of Erdos of A eyebrow C eye type in Erdos from the angle of human body words.Finally, the main purpose is try to open out the reason of creation of those tetrasyllabic words radically.Chapter4:The circumstance of the usage of Jin language tetrasyllabic words of Erdos.This chapter is based on the investigative questionnaires. Shulinzhao, a small town, which in the north of Erdos, was choosed as investigative place. The method of field investigation in socialinguistics be used in this thesis. Other methods also be used , such as: quantitative analysis put together with the qualitative analysis, observational andintrospective method which is used in cognitive linguistics frequently. Finally, 50 valid questionnaires be received after investigation. "basic information, the gift of tongues, usage of the tetrasyllablc words and language attitude" are included in those questionnaires.Chapter 5:Examples of quadrisyllabic of Erdos. The typical quadrisyllabics of Erdos in this thesis were marked as pronunciation and explained as example. I hope that 264 worlds of quadrisyllabic of Erdos would become reference for linguist and be used or studied by people who are lived in non- dialect area.Epilogue.Introduce some important opinions about Jin language tetrasyllabic words of Erdos,and then point out the deficiency and direction that I should study for the future.
