Yuan Zhen is the famous talented scholar of middle period of Tang Dynasty. It is because he is well for creating the poems that can be sang, and that is also why he got the name of talented scholar. Under the big environment of poetry creation in middle period of Tang Dynasty, Yuan Zhen's poetry creation perfectly represented the combination of music and poetry in middle Tang Dynasty. Clearly understanding of this point will help unveil the situation and the development of the middle Tang Dynasty. So , the main purpose of this thesis is to research Yuan Zhen's poetry systematically. And my thesis will launch my study in Yuan's poems, historical documents and music. The study methods in this thesis are the comprehensive use of statistics, contract, analysis, the joint use of insider proof and the outsider proof.The content of this thesis is developed in this route. First, the author analyzes the concept of the lyric poetry in order to clarify the definition of "song" and "sound". And by making clearly of the practical situation of both "lyric poetry" and " sound poetry" , the thesis results in the main concept of the lyric poetry. The lyric poetry is the general name of the poems both with accompaniment and without accompaniment Second, through the observing the song which is basing on Yuan Zhen's poems, the thesis find the evidence which can prove that Yuan's poems used to be sung and performed at Yuan' time. And based on former study result, this thesis try to prove Yuan Zhen's poetry is the lyric poetry. Third, the style of Yuan Zhen's poetry is not confined with a single style. So, the third part of the thesis is to conclude the different style of Yuan Zhen's various poetry creation. The next part of the thesis summarizes the feature of Yuan's lyric poem and his common poems in both content and form. The last part of the thesis focuses on the interaction between Yuan Zhen and the famous singer.
